There’s stuff going on every night after 10pm at the Fringe Club (Venue 2) - just bring your Visa Button ($5 cover charge otherwise). We’ll list all the FringeClub events here as they are confirmed.
Thursday August 25 - Cranaoke – 80′s style. Morgan Cranny leads the change on an all 80′s croon fest. Wear your best Pat Benatar ensemble.
Friday August 26 – MonoBROW Solo Slam. Its a rough and tumble monologue smack down. Its fun to watch and even better to participate in. If you would like to throw your hat in the ring, email Megan for details. Monologues must be no more than 3 minutes, original material and not require any props, costumes, fancy cues or crutches of any kind.
Saturday August 27 – Fringe Kids for Adults. Come make crafts, hang out in the fun inflatables, make custom buttons, paint your face - all while drinking beer. A Vic Fringe classic.
Sunday August 28 – Wes Borg’s Fringe Ktchen Party Join the Open Mike Mayhem.
Monday August 29 – miniSMUTSlam. You know what a poetry slam is, and maybe you know about story slams, too. Now it’s time for the Fringe Club’s first-ever SMUT SLAM, a fast-paced hour of storytelling based on real life, real lust, real sex, all unfolding in front of a transfixed audience. The theme for this SMUT SLAM is, naturally, “Fringe…” Make it a perfect, perverse part of your Victoria Fringe!
SMUT SLAMMERS sign up on the night to tell a 3-minute piece of smut/sex/erotica, based on their real lives and ideally relating to the theme of “Fringe…” (Fringe hook-ups, experiences out on the edge, fringe on a scarf, it’s up to the teller), and a lucky eight to ten names will be drawn at random. There will be a team of 3 to 5 judges – interested amateurs, storytellers, theater people, writers, and anyone who loves sex stories. If you want to be a judge, email Megan.
Tuesday August 30 - COMEDY NIGHT Ratfish Comedy hosts an evening of laughs from a line-up of talented local and visiting stand-up comics. Hosted by Kevin Banner.
Wednesday August 31 – COMEDY NIGHT Ratfish Comedy hosts an evening of laughs from a line-up of talented local and visiting stand-up comics. Hosted by Katie-Ellen Humphries.
